New Moon in Śravana (Capricorn) ruled by the Moon, January 29, 2025

Sit in silence at the new moon where the sun and moon are joined together in Śravana, the One who Hears, and listen for messages from the universe. Make time for deep introspection. The Moon rules Śravana which brings an even deeper connection to the depths and shadows of the dark new moon in the dark of winter.

This is the first new moon of 2025 and coincides with the Lunar New Year.
Ganeșa, the elephant deva with large ears for listening, is the sacred deity of new beginnings. He is the first of the invocations, the lord of doorways, categories, and the remover of obstacles. He is the scribe of the Mahabharata (and the Bhagavad Gita) and the deva of Jyotișa.
